Test drive Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5-series

Test drive Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5-series

Today we are going to take a look at three of the best selling luxury sedans in the world. Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5 Series are dominating this class for years but there are new competitors coming out every year. One of them is the all new 2012 Lexus GS which has improved handling matching the one in a 5-series and improved interior design and quality which can compete even with the best interior in this class of an Audi A6.
2012 Lexus GS
The 2012 editions of the Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6 and BMW 5-series may be in the same price segment but they are pretty different cars. The BMW has the best handling of the three, while the Audi impresses with stylish interior and overall built quality. The E-Class is probably the least impressive of all three cars but it is very refined vehicle which makes it one of the most popular cars in the business class.
Take a look in the video comparison of the Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5-series and decide if you like any of these or the Germans are too boring for, especially next to cars like the Lexus or Infinity.

2012 BMW 328i test drive and review

2012 BMW 328i test drive and review
BMW 328i

Today at For consumers blog we are going to take a closer look at the brand new 3-series sedan. This vehicle was officially presented few months ago and it really draws all the attention in automotive world since.
The new 3-series design is very similar to the outgoing model but there are some significant changes in the look, especially in front where the headlights and the grill are completely different from what we've seen in BMW models so far.
The new BMW 3-series is 93mm longer than before, with a 50mm stretch to the wheelbase that creates more interior room, particularly in the rear. The wheel tracks are wider too, again boosting interior space but also aiding handling.

The new 3-series is offered in three design themes (lines) - Luxury, Modern and Sport.

The 2012 BMW 3-series is powered by a new family of aluminum four-cylinder petrol engines ranging from 135 to 245 horsepower. These will include new technologies such as variable intake and exhaust-valve timing, sequential turbochargers, and direct fuel injection. The 245 hp (183 kW; 248 PS) four-cylinder may be included in US-bound models (the last four-cylinder 3 series was the 1999 318ti with a 138 hp (103 kW; 140 PS) engine). The N52 3.0L naturally aspirated I6 was replaced by the N20 with almost equivalent output and improved fuel economy. The other petrol engines will be four-cylinder turbocharged units displacing either 1.6 or 2.0 litres. High-performance diesels will also feature 2.0-litre twin turbo versions with a 204 hp (152 kW; 207 PS) 323d, a 245 hp (183 kW; 248 PS) 325d and a 306 hp (228 kW; 310 PS) 335d 3.0-litre, inline 6 version. The BMW 3 F30 will have a hybrid model in it's range as well.

BMW X3 2012 test drive and review

BMW X3 2012 test drive and review

BMW X3 2012

Today at For consumers blog we are going to take a closer look at one of the most popular SUV's in the world. BMW X3 is a compact crossover SUV (or SAV - Sports Activity Vehicle as BMW calls it) which came on the market in 2003 and it's been a real hit since then.
2012 BMW X3 is produced on the F25 platform in Spartanburg, United States.
The new BMW X3 has a nice, muscular design and a sporty profile. Its off-road capabilities are delivered through its sophisticated 4x4 X-drive (all wheel drive) system, which has one of the fastest responses in the world. This system is standard for all BMW X3s.

BMW X3 2012 test drive and review
All US market vehicles come with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder petrol engine either normally aspirated or with a twin scroll turbocharger and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Europe customers will be able go choose from three diesel engines as well as the gasoline versions of the X3.

BMW X4 2013 released

BMW X4 2013 released - BMW X4 review and first impressions, BMW X4 test drive
BMW X4 released in 2013
So here it is, the all new BMW X4 2013 model released.
So what is new in BMW's new SUV?
The first thing you may thing it should be something bigger than the X3 and smaller than the X5 and you'd be wrong. Size is not the most important thing about the new BMW X4. It inherits the style features of the avangard X6 and basically looks like a big muscular coupe with much more sporty than off-road character.

BMW X4 will share powertrains with the X3, including four and six cylinder engines for both gasoline and diesel format. The new crossover will be assembled in BMW's $900 million Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, USA.
The official release date for BMW X4 is the beginning of 2014 but rumors say production and sales may start in the middle of next year. So hopefully it will hit the showrooms sooner than expected and it will be available for full tests drive and review.

BMW 3-series F30

BMW 3-series F30 test drive and review
3-series F30 specifications
Here is how the most popular BMW of all time will look in the next few years. Considering the old model was a great success, BMW designers didn't change radically the profile of the car and it still keeps clean sporty profile with some interesting design features. BMW probably wanted to bring the design of the new 3 series more in-line with the look of its other new cars, mainly the 5, 6 and 7 Series. The BMW 3 F30 will have a hybrid model in it's range as well. Naturally aspirated straight-six engines from 325i/330i are replaced by BMW's new N20 turbocharged inline-four two liter engine already introduced in a lot of BMW models. Top of the range 335i has the same N55 engine as E90. Diesel powertrain is still two liter inline-four N47 engine which is optimized for the new car.
The new BMW 3 Series is 93mm longer than before, with a 50mm stretch to the wheelbase that creates more interior room, particularly in the rear. The wheel tracks are wider too, again boosting interior space but also aiding handling.
BMW F30 Sedan will be launched on February 11, 2012 and soon after that the rest of the model range will be available.

Test drive BMW M5 (F10)

Test drive BMW M5 (F10)

BMW M5 (F10)

Today in For consumers we are going to test drive the new generation of BMW M5, the super sport sedan of the Bavarian giant.
The F10 generation of M5 came on the market recently and it grabbed the attention of the automotive world. The new M5 uses the S63 biturbo 4.4 Litre V8 with twin scroll turbocharging technology that is found in the BMW X5 M and X6 M, and the version in the M5 is expected to have an output of 560 hp (418 kW) and 502 ft·lb (681 N·m) of torque. Some critics immediately highlighted the difference with previous generations of M5 - the newly added turbo. At first this fact disappointed lots of BMW fans who loved the previous naturally aspirated engines. This disappointment disappeared in the second they heard the car revving. It looks like the car didn't loose any of it charismatic 'senses' but even added more. It's a bit more eco friendly and a bit faster than the previous E60 generation. And the driving dynamics and pleasure remained unbelievable, like no other car on the market today.

Engine is officially dubbed the S63tu. It has revised compression, higher lift camshafts, individual throttle bodies for added response and higher boost at 22PSI compared to the S63 unit found in the X5/X6M. The compression has also been raised and the pistons have been strengthened to cope with the added boost and compression. Redline has been raised to 7200 and continues to build power up to redline, compared to other turbo cars that tend to die on the top end. The brake calipers will be colored blue and standard for all M5s at release. 19 inch multi spoke wheels are standard and 20 inch spilt 5 spoke wheels will also be available at launch.

Our opinion
The new BMW M5 (f10) is nothing more but an amazing car... truly the ultimate driving machine.
