BMW X3 2012 test drive and review
Today at For consumers blog we are going to take a closer look at one of the most popular SUV's in the world. BMW X3 is a compact crossover SUV (or SAV - Sports Activity Vehicle as BMW calls it) which came on the market in 2003 and it's been a real hit since then.
2012 BMW X3 is produced on the F25 platform in Spartanburg, United States.
The new BMW X3 has a nice, muscular design and a sporty profile. Its off-road capabilities are delivered through its sophisticated 4x4 X-drive (all wheel drive) system, which has one of the fastest responses in the world. This system is standard for all BMW X3s.
All US market vehicles come with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder petrol engine either normally aspirated or with a twin scroll turbocharger and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Europe customers will be able go choose from three diesel engines as well as the gasoline versions of the X3.
